Tracey Wilcock Franchise Owner


Tracey has been the franchise owner of the Brighouse Branch for the last five years having previously managed the branch for the five years proceeding. Despite some 20 years ago saying she would never join the family business, she spent fifteen years working for her father in the industry working harder then any one else to justify her position and working through the ranks from mere junior to residential sales valuer and finally owning her own franchise. Some ten years ago, starting in Brighouse with only a small amount of houses for sale, the challenge was to be a big one! Never to be put off by a challenge Tracey has successfully been able to increase the portfolio and is now classed as the leader in the market for this area. Two years ago Tracey moved premises to accommodate the ever growing rental department and they have first class town centre presence with state of the art display and equipment. Tracey is confident, enthusiastic and leads by example, having a full team working with her as well as for her. She balances family life being a mother of three with dedication to a business she has developed over the years. Not frightened of hard work, Tracey has successfully passed the National Association of Estate Agents Technical Award together with the equivalent for A.R.L.A and holds a diploma in Domestic Energy Assessment. She has a fantastic reputation in the area with clients choosing to carry out transactions time and time again with the company. She is known for her straight talking, no nonsense approach and is extremely knowledgeable of the local area and the market trend. Together with her staff they have continued to sell properties throughout the changeable market and have successfully developed the rental division to management of over 100 properties. Understanding that all credit can not be taken by her alone she offers full credit to all the team and praise is given freely.

Joanne Wells Office Manager


Joanne has been with the company for the last four years and has excellent customer service skills keeping a calm and level head when faced with any problem. Having had 18 years experience in customer service, 7 of which were spent in Banking, she has proved to be fantastic asset to the company. Her friendly demeanor warms clients and helps re-assure them through what can be described as one of the most stressful things in life ‘house moving’. She gets a real buzz in agreeing the initial sale and confidentially progresses each individual file until completion is set and the keys are handed over. Joanne is a fully subscribed member of the National Association of Estate Agents having passed all four technical awards from general estate agents practice to building and construction and is very knowledgeable of the local area. Apart from running around after her toddler, Joanne likes fine wine and good food and has long term friendships with a number of people. A very genuine approachable person who willingly gives 100% and doesn’t need to be asked!!!

Jacqui Speight Senior Sales Negotiator


Jacqui started with the company 6 years ago when leaving school as a junior administrator and very quickly showed her ability to progress, gaining confidence in dealing with the public. Now working as a Sales Negotiator, she has an incredible knowledge of the housing selling process and full credit to her, is one of the only staff members that obtained 100% in the Level 3 Award in respect of sale of residential property. Like most people of her age she enjoys her weekends (especially the one’s she isn’t working) and can often be found in ‘Liquid’ in the early hours of a Sunday morning with a vodka in hand. Since she is young, free and single, her bed is the most important place on a Sunday and a stack of soaps to catch up on. After a brief spell away working in a Property Management Company, Jacqui returned to the company some 6 months ago. Having said that we would never take staff back, Jacqui was an exception to the rule! She has developed into a very capable young lady who is uber efficient and a pleasure to work with.

James Horsfield Trainee Valuer


James is one of newest recruits having only joined the company a couple of months ago. Originally from the Isle of Man, James has worked in a services industry for a number of years and was a Project Manager for a distribution company before moving to sunny Brighouse. A new challenge for James and one that he has thrown himself into whole heartingly. A technical whizz with the floor plans, having introduced both colour and 3 dimensional walk-through which offer a unique edge over other agents in the locality. With camera always on hand he ensures that at all times photos are of the highest standard and with a blue sky behind it certainly improves the kerb appeal. A well known saying being if you are good in selling, you can sell sand to the arabs, with James the saying being if you can sell Kirby vacs, selling our service shouldn’t be a problem. James lives locally with his partner and has an eighteen month old son and like most of us finds it easy to wind down after a hard days work with a nice bottle of red or case of lager. He enjoys showing prospective clients around properties and often is able to suggest alternatives if the one in question is not suitable. An enthusiastic team player that has developed over a short period of time and will be representing the company shortly with full backing from Tracey.

Steven Kirby Office Adminstrator


Steven is again one of our newest recruits having been with the company for only 6 months. Known by the staff as the joker of the pack or DIPSTICK, he has a memory like a sieve and like most men can’t multi-task, but on the flip side he makes a mean cuppa and often acts as Tracey’s personal shopper. As most young people now a days he lives for the weekend, with his tipple being vodka and wishes every night was Friday night! Joking apart, Steve is a very enthusiastic young gentleman who has gained in confidence over the last 6 months. He is very pro-active and always approaches clients when entering the office and has an excellent telephone manner. He has always had a keen interest in architecture and carried out a short course at college in architectural photography. He is very knowledgeable in IT and is often relied upon when we have problems with the computers. Steven has become a valuable member of the team and is quite keen to progress further in the industry and bearing in mind his best attribute is people skill’s we feel he will be with the company for a while to come.

Emma Bottomley Lettings Manager/Valuer


Emma has been with the company for the longest period of time having worked in the Brighouse branch for the last seven years and in the industry for over 15 years. One of the only staff that wears her heart on her sleeve and often takes the problems of the day home with her! She is conscientious and wants to ensure that everything is dealt with correctly and efficiently, therefore does get affected when problems arise. She started as a negotiator and has successfully worked through the ranks to valuer status and decided 2 years ago to change her vocation to rental and helped set up the rental department within the company. Managed by Emma we have a fantastic rental portfolio with many clients coming back to us time and time again. Busy in her social life as well as work, Emma has 2 children which she runs around to varying clubs, a caravan in York and a keen interest in water ski-ing. Emma offers 100% commitment to work and often goes beyond expectation of the job and is a very valuable member of our team.

Janet Howard Rental Adminstrator


Janet again is one of new recruits having been with the company only a few months. She has seen both side of the rental management having worked for large companies that were Landlords for a number of properties to now managing these on behalf of clients. She has brought new ideas to the rental department and is always keen to look at new ways to expand the business. She does seem to spread her work all over the desk but at least she knows where things are but on the flip side she is thorough and will go over things twice and three times to ensure it is done right. Janet has 2 grown up children and a grand daughter but does have a great balance between work and family life and regardless of what is thrown at her during the course of the day, she does successfully leave it at work and not take it home. She works on a part time basis and on her days off she is a lady that ‘lunches’, she is a very social person and people take to her easily. She has become a most valuable member of our rental department, working across the board from showing clients round houses, signing up the tenancy and after care on our managed contracts.
