Whitegates Estate Agents in Doncaster were established over 30 years ago back in 1979 and at the time operating from premises in Priory Place. Whitegates quickly became established as one of the regions leading Estate Agents, with at the time the market leading promotions of all inclusive fees, no fee offerings and six days a week openings – all of which remain in place today! In 2002 they moved to their present location in Consort House, Waterdale, Doncaster, which offers house sellers and landlords the opportunity to market their properties from a prestigious branch in a very prominent, busy location.
The Whitegates branch is operated under a franchise licence by Terry Oxley and his wife Judy who have over 30 years combined experience in estate agency. They started as franchisees in 1997 initially operating in Worksop Town Centre and then expanding in 2000 to Doncaster, where they have continued to build a very successful Sales and Lettings business, with a particular focus of customer care. Being members of the governing bodies of National Association of Estate Agents, Association of Residential Letting Agents, and The Property Ombudsmen Scheme, Terry and his team are committed to continue raising the standards in the industry.
Any organisation is only ever as good as its staff and Terry is proud of his team. He comments “We have successfully built up a dedicated team of loyal and experienced employees who are all motivated, friendly, approachable and caring. I know that each and every one of them will go the extra mile to make sure they get the job done right for every client”. Despite the chill wind of the recession, Terry, Judy and his team have continued to weather the storm and actually increased the performance of the branch to achieve their best ever league position within the whole of the Whitegates group.
At a recent Whitegates Awards Ceremony Terry Oxley was presented with the directors award for outstanding performance for 2009 by Peter Bolton, Chairman of the NAEA , something which Terry and his staff are incredibly proud of!
To continue their growth and develop the service offered to customers further in 2010, Whitegates in Doncaster are introducing a sales packages that will offer an all-inclusive fee that will now include energy performance certificate and Solicitor’s fees which means that clients will have no need to worry about extras and will know from day one the exact cost of selling their property.
In residential lettings, we will offer a new full management package that includes a Rent Guarantee throughout the period of the tenancy agreement. Terry commented, “ with the uncertainty in the employment markets we know landlords have been concerned that the rent may not be paid leaving them out of pocket, with this initiative, the rental guarantee takes care of this”.
It is a modern town surrounded by a mixture of urban and rural areas. The Borough of Doncaster stretches for 226 square miles and includes a National Nature Reserve and Wildlife Trust sites through which passes the Trans Pennine Trail. It is also home to the Annual St Leger Race, Doncaster Minster, several historic homes and one of England’s three Mansion houses.
The town is serviced by an impressive network of rail, road and international air routes giving easy access to major cities both here and abroad.
There has been a programme of regeneration and new homes are replacing many of those built for the workers for the heavy industries of the past.
