Brighouse is a small friendly market town with a village feel. The shopping centre has a good selection of shops and restaurants benefiting also from a thriving traditional Wednesday and Saturday market. The town centre is flat and therefore suitable for all ages with ease of access to the M62 motorway network and a recently reopened railway station making commuting to surrounding major towns and cities relatively easy. Brighouse is also within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales and has much to offer in the way of local countryside, accessible by car of if walking, the 'Calderdale Way Walks' are also on the doorstep.

The town has a good mixture of residential properties with something to suit everyone both close to the town centre or in the outlying villages. Excellent schools and kindergartens are available with the private and public sector being equally well catered for.
