Agent Kicks Off New Football Deal and Nantwich Base

The innovative regional chain, which already sells properties through around 40 branches across the Midlands, Wales and the North, will operate an estate agency desk within the Martin & Co lettings branch on Hospital Street.

The move is in response to customer demand following the successful launch of new Whitegates branches in Crewe and Chester earlier this year, in addition to the neighbouring offices at Wrexham and Stoke.

Paul Rowley, Whitegates manager in Crewe, said: "It is believed to be one of the first occasions that two such businesses have agreed to operate under one roof in this way.

"Although we have a strong online presence, we also believe in the importance of personal service and providing a local office where home-owners and first time buyers can come and see us face to face if they want to.

"We have already been successful in selling Nantwich property and we wanted to make it a bit easier for home buyers and sellers in this area. It also means our customers get their property marketed through two locations.

"We have worked hard to bring local estate agency practices into the 21st century and this move helps us deliver high quality service in a cost-effective way. Whether you prefer to conduct your property business online, or face to face, we can accommodate that need."

Martin & Co Nantwich manager Toby Banfield said: "In September, we rented on average three properties a day across Crewe and Nantwich, over 90 new tenancies, which broke all previous records.

"So the office will now house two very successful property organisations. We are already neighbours of theirs on Nantwich Road in Crewe, and we have been impressed by what they do.

"We specialise in renting and property investment, and they specialise in residential sales, so our activities are complementary rather than in conflict. I think it's a win-win for both businesses and their customers."

Whitegates, based on Nantwich Road, is also celebrating a new sponsorship deal with Crewe Alexandra FC where it's taking a number of advertising boards at the Gresty Road ground.

The firm remains a major player in its field, selling a house every 25 minutes in the UK.

Its latest innovation is an online valuation tool, where homeowners can logon to its website to get a valuation on their property. There's also an online sales service which is free of fees and commissions to the seller.
